Holy Trinity Church, Bolton

Sadly neglected for many years, this grade II listed church will be transformed into 38 homes for first time buyers.
Working with English Heritage and Conservation Offices whilst keeping  commercial viability in mind, plans were approved to extend the church at the east end, with a simple modern lightweight structure, joined to the old by means of a glass link.
Within the church itself, a new structure will weave around the columns so that they, and the arches above remain visible. New floors will stop short of the stained glass windows, so that they can be fully appreciated and light is maximised in all of the spaces.
